Rebels preventing authorities forces ‘prepared’ for African Union-led peace course of.
“Seize the chance for peace.” That’s the United Nations’ message to the Ethiopian authorities and rebels within the northern Tigray area.
Almost two years of struggle have displaced thousands and thousands of individuals and created a humanitarian disaster.
Now, fighters from the Tigray Folks’s Liberation Entrance say they’re open to a ceasefire and are prepared to just accept an African Union-led peace course of, one thing they’ve dismissed previously.
The Ethiopian authorities has not responded to the proposal.
